A lot of people think their homes are investments, when they are really their homes. Though the subprime mortgage debacle created more than expected foreclosures and upside down mortgages, borrowers have also contributed to this economic challenge. These cycles are really quite predictable. This lecture is geared to the public with references to planetary cycles.

Astrology can help us sustain and enhance our relationships so that we flourish within them. This presentation introduces synastry (chart comparison) and the art of couples counseling, with an emphasis on lunar aspects as a means of understanding each person's capacity for emotional attachment. Greg will show how astrology aids us in working through relationships conflicts, anger, impasses, and shutdowns. Astrology generates insights that can enhance, heal, and sustain our relationships, enabling us to interact and live with other people more joyously, with greater tolerance and humor. He will discuss relationship symbolism of the natal chart, and synastry, the process of comparing two charts and their interactions.
5:00 PM 5:45 PM AMERICA'S MONEY KARMA Jessica Murray
Even more so than sex, money is the big taboo in the United States. Coveted yet despised, no other issue elicits such intense feelings. This ambivalence is spelled out in the chart of the USA; where Pluto, the planet of obsession, resides in the house of materialism. The indicators are clear that America’s money karma will either kill it or transform it; a crisis that will be played out over the next few years.
6:15 PM 7:30 PM KEYNOTE ADDRESS: ASTROLOGY AND COMMUNITY Jeff Jawer
The practice of astrology primarily addresses the character and cycles of individuals. The psychological development of 20th century astrology contributed to trends of individualism that have created both a sense of freedom and alienation. We are empowered with a sense of identity that is freed from traditional cultural references that is also an artificial separation of the personal and the collective. This talk will address ways to reintegrate community concerns within an astrological context, not to return to a pre-industrial worldview but to make astrology a relevant part of the post-modern world.
